The Modular Game Components organization creates various "micro"-libraries for game development with the goal of bridging the gap between game frameworks and game engines while following the Unix philosophy. This should allow for one to pick and choose which game components are actually needed and exclude those libraries which are not needed in order to better optimize the footprint of a game without doing everything from scratch.
Currently, only libraries are provided for Python. The libraries, however, work with various game frameworks such as Pygame and Arcade. In the future, further language support is planned.
