[BUG] Unable to log in using Administrator when OIE Administrator is launched using Ballista (based) launcher

Unable to log in using Administrator when OIE Administrator is launched using a Ballista (base) launcher WHEN the OIE has the TLS Manager plugin installed.

The login screen is shown, but when authenticating the error "There was an error connecting to the server at the specified address. Please verify that the server is up and running." is shown after the "Loading extensions" step.

When the NextGen Administrator Launcher is used, login works fine.

The NextGen luancher is showing a popup to accept the TLS manager extension signature, but the Ballista launcher is not showing a popup.

To Reproduce

Install OIE 4.6.0 and install the NovaMap TLS Manager plugin.

Expected behavior
Able to login into Administrator and use the functionality (including TLS extension).

Actual behavior
Unable to login.

Software used:

• Open Integration Engine 4.6.0 (Built on April 27, 2026) server - Running OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 17.0.19 on Linux (6.12.88-119.157.amzn2023.x86_64, amd64), postgres, with charset UTF-8.

• Ballista/Pacmano Launcher 2.0.2 (https://github.com/pacmano1/launcher/releases)

• TLS Manager 1.0.6 (https://github.com/NovaMap-Health/tls-manager-plugin/releases/tag/1.0.6)

Using Nextgen launcher

I'm unable to reproduce this issue, though I have not tried the exact version of ballista you list, and am not on windows. Can you provide the stack trace in the java console?

Works on:

• oie 8c1111b
• tls-manager 1.0.6
• ballista 0.6.0
• zulu17.60.17-ca-fx-jdk17.0.16-macosx_aarch64

This probably needs to be an issue filed against pacmano1/launcher - not oie.

That usually happens with the launcher is using java8 and not 17.

I can confirm that Java 17 is used on the client that runs the launcher

OpenJDK Runtime Environment Corretto-17.0.17.10.1 (build 17.0.17+10-LTS)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Corretto-17.0.17.10.1 (build 17.0.17+10-LTS, mixed mode, sharing)

Please close/move the PR to https://github.com/pacmano1/launcher/issues.

You confrmied what version of java you have at the CLI, that doesn't mean it is the one Launcher is using. e.g. on the configuration of the server entry itself.
